Admissions take place at The Ranch Pennsylvania Outpatient Center, 1817 Olde Homestead Lane, Suite 205, Lancaster, PA 17601, during weekday office hours. Admission times are scheduled when you call so that each person arriving gets the full attention of our care team.
You will complete admission paperwork and insurance verification, and to keep the program safe and substance-free, each client consents to a search of their person and belongings. Items not permitted during treatment are stored securely until your stay is over. Clients entering PHP with housing are then transported to the Outpatient Residence at 1113 Colonial Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603. IOP clients coordinate their session schedule and continue living at home.

We encourage all clients to complete their treatment. Leaving care early can lead to relapse and overdose. However, clients may choose to leave treatment at any time, even against medical advice, as long as they are not a danger to themselves or others.
If you are entering PHP with housing, here is what to know about daily life at The Ranch Pennsylvania Outpatient Residence, our 16-bed home in Lancaster.
The Outpatient Residence is a 16-bed home in a residential Lancaster neighborhood with 24/7 support staff. Most bedrooms are shared by two residents, with five shared bathrooms, two living rooms, two kitchens, an on-site fitness space, laundry facilities, art supplies and nearby parks. Weekly housekeeping is provided. Breakfast is served at the Residence, lunch and snacks at the Outpatient Center, and residents prepare dinner together with approved groceries. We provide transportation to and from programming and approved community activities.

Yes. You may keep your personal cell phone and smartwatch during treatment. Phones may not be used during group programming or other scheduled clinical activities.
PHP residents may bring a vehicle, but parking at the Residence is very limited and vehicles are expected to stay parked for the duration of treatment. We provide transportation to programming and approved community activities such as grocery runs, AA/NA, SMART Recovery, NAMI and alumni meetings. IOP clients travel to the Outpatient Center on their own.
Visitors are not permitted at the Outpatient Residence. Family members and other approved loved ones can take part in supervised family sessions with your clinician at the Outpatient Center when it is appropriate for your treatment.
Nearly all health insurance plans require you to pay some out-of-pocket costs in order to access your healthcare benefits (collectively, the "Patient Responsibility").
Your individual Patient Responsibility will vary.
An intake coordinator will review your Patient Responsibility with you when you're admitted or as soon as you are medically stable. They will explain the deductible is due during admission and that the co-insurance amount and out-of-pocket balance will be bill and paid for once services are complete. Onsite financial counselors will review your financial responsibility again during treatment with case managers who can help you navigate FMLA and short-term disability.
It is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider prior to admitting at The Ranch Pennsylvania Outpatient Services to make sure you understand your individual benefits plan. Please note that your insurance plan may not be a "participating provider" with The Ranch Pennsylvania Outpatient Services. You are responsible for all non- covered and out-of-pocket costs related to your treatment.
All admissions calls are free and confidential. At The Ranch Pennsylvania Outpatient Services, you will fill out forms that only allow us to discuss important information with the people you designate per HIPAA guidelines. In addition, no information will be disclosed to any party without your written, documented consent.
